This was said by the mother’s chiropractors (a husband and wife team).
The mother had been unreasonably risked out of a birth center birth by her OB (see previous two posts) and was was understandably upset about it, so her midwife and doula had been able to work out a “home birth” in the chiropractors’ guest house. (This birthing team had also delivered the befriended chiropractors’ son.)
The chiropractors had given their agreement without knowing whom it was intended for; when they found out that the mother in question was in fact their patient, they called her and made the above offer, stating,
“(Our Midwife) just told me it was you, I’m so glad! If you want to bring your other kids or come and stay for a few days before or after, we’d love to have you. We’ll be glad to watch your other kids while you’re in labor too!”
